Soen Bravo is a Spanish artist born in Madrid in 1987, where he studied at the School of Art. The artist considers himself versatile when it comes to the themes of his works and always seeks new ways to express himself and convey his message. Some traits of tenderness also emerge in his works, due to personal experiences. His painting technique is characterized by the union of figurative elements with undefined shapes, overlapping letters and some random brushstrokes. Some of his works aim to convey a message of social, political and economic denunciation, with particular attention to the unjust distribution of wealth. In other works, however, he tries to represent human feelings, personal experiences, but also historical themes. Soen has created numerous small and large artistic works and has participated in numerous urban art exhibitions and festivals in various countries around the world.
"Nuovo Cinema Paradiso"
The work is inspired by one of the iconic images from the film Nuovo Cinema Paradiso. What is there in the wonderful gaze of little Totò as he scrolls through the frames of a film? What wonder, what joy? The lips hint at a happy smile, the artist seems to paint the soul of the little hero in the act of the magnificent discovery of cinema and of that world that only cinema can evoke and create. Other children play happily with him. This is one of the most beautiful moments of Italian cinema, that of the wonder of a child’s soul that discovers the seventh art for the first time. Totò Cascio, the unforgettable interpreter, is himself a sort of messenger angel of cinematographic art, just as Alfredo, in his cabin, next to his projector, is a sort of wise master of the dream machine he operates. In this mural there is all the mystery of the New Cinema that has found its “Paradise”.
