Alvaro Moreno, known as AlvaMoca, is an artist born in Spain in 1982. He graduated in Advertising from the University of Segovia and studied digital illustration, design, animation and film post-production in Madrid. Since 2004 he has worked as a graphic artist, art director, graphic designer and illustrator for various design agencies, television and production companies. His training in the art of mural painting is self-taught. He currently works in engraving, drawing and screen printing studios, mainly dealing with collage, illustration, graffiti, painting and recycling. Together with his brother he is part of the Fratelli Moca collective.
"Magic manners - The farmers"
The artist celebrates, through his mural, the agricultural landscape of Roccamena by paying homage to the farmers and their arts that produce the fruits of the Earth. He defines their good manners as magical because the care that gives birth to the fruit is magical. Magical ways are unknown to most people, in fact they are the farmers, the custodians of the secrets of the Earth and its fruits. Deeply immersed in contemporary art, the work vibrates with earthly colors and supernatural light, managing to be a vision of the natural process of creation. In an abstract representation. AlvaMoca depicts through strong symbolism the dance of sowing and harvest, the dance of Mother Earth in the instant in which the root changes into fruit and the earth transforms what it receives into a gift for those who have cared for it. At the center of the work is the vertical eye symbolism of the sacred feminine, which evokes mythological and esoteric references in the abstract representation.
