All scheduled activities
The I ART project outlines a systemic strategy to be implemented within the territory of the Metropolitan City of Palermo. It will involve the implementation of a single shared and synergistic project covering the territory of Ficuzza and the Valle del Sosio, involving a total of 8 municipalities (Bisacquino, Campofiorito, Chiusa Sclafani, Corleone, Mezzojuso, Palazzo Adriano, Prizzi, Roccamena) with Bisacquino as the lead municipality.
MULTIPURPOSE CULTURAL CENTERS (MCC)
Activity 1. Establishment and networking of 8 Multipurpose Cultural Centers (MCCs) and creation of social and cultural, recreational, and educational services.
The project involves the equipment, adaptation, maintenance, and refunctionalization of existing peripheral building structures located in the participating Municipalities, for the establishment and networking of MCCs, intended as new multimedia and experiential centers for the provision of cultural, educational, and didactic services for the redevelopment and regeneration of the outskirts.
In particular, this activity is articulated in the following sub-interventions:
1.1. Infrastructural interventions in the municipalities of Bisacquino and Mezzojuso for the establishment of MCCs;
1.2. Establishment and networking of MCC in Corleone: "I ART Noma";
1.3. Establishment and networking of MCC in Corleone: MEMORIAM IUDICORUM;
1.4. Supply and installation of equipment for the establishment of MCCs;
1.5. Production of content for the establishment of Multipurpose Cultural Centers - Various supplies and services.
THE CULTURE NETWORK FOR THE OUTSKIRTS. INTERVENTION: I ART SEMINAR AND DISSEMINATION
In order to stimulate cultural growth, capture the attention of relevant professionals, and foster the aggregation of development processes in peripheral systems, I ART envisages the creation of a network of outskirts involving figures such as architects, experts in local development, emerging and renowned artists, associations, companies, and relevant regional, national, and international organizations, including universities, institutes, and academies of fine arts.
In this sense, I ART aims to activate a true and proper permanent international forum, conceived as a system of relations among experts in multidisciplinary areas, engaging in dialogue on peripheral contexts and their re-centralization in polycentric urban development policies.
The I ART project includes two seminars: one for the presentation of the initial phase of the project, aimed at disseminating its contents and facilitating the establishment of the network, and another for presenting the project's results at its conclusion.
CAREER GUIDANCE AND WORKSHOPS FOR YOUNG UNEMPLOYED:
This activity aims to facilitate the orientation of young unemployed individuals on specific topics identified considering both territorial needs and territorial strategies for enhancing peripheral areas, in coherence with EU programming.
Orientation Program:
The territory covered by the I ART Project includes the Municipalities of: Bisacquino, Campofiorito, Chiusa Sclafani, Corleone, Mezzojuso, Palazzo Adriano, Prizzi, and Roccamena. Despite presenting differences among them, both in terms of population and vocations and attractive resources, they all belong to what is identified here as the Internal Area of Ficuzza and the Sosio Valley. In this sense, they possess the peculiarities and criticalities of internal settlements, peripheral to the Metropolitan City of Palermo, around which they revolve for supra-local services and, very often, for reasons related to work and extracurricular education.
URBAN ART INTERVENTIONS: STREET ART
The "URBAN ART INTERVENTIONS FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE OUTSKIRTS" project envisages the creation of a large collective work of urban art in the 8 municipalities involved in the project.
I ART will engage some of the most interesting contemporary artists in the field of street art, who will work in the municipalities involved in the project. Each artist will be asked to produce a piece of urban art in spaces identified by the project, currently being defined. Street art works will be created to contribute to the redevelopment of the peripheral system of the municipalities in the Ficuzza and Sosio Valley area, also creating an artistic and cultural itinerary open to significant flows of visitors.
COMMUNICATION AND TERRITORIAL MARKETING
External communication activities are aimed at promoting widespread dissemination of results - not only on a regional scale - and project products to target sectors/groups, as well as raising awareness among potential users and various stakeholders involved in project themes (including the general public), in order to broaden their involvement and contribute in the long term to the mainstreaming of results. The communication strategy defines the structure and content of the messages to be conveyed, to which population segments it is most useful to send them, and the best means to do so. The dissemination of results implies a long-term relationship with stakeholders, who will provide ongoing feedback to improve the message. The recipients identified for communication and dissemination activities mainly belong to four macro sectors of interest: institutional, specialized public, public opinion, and media. The "institutional sector" includes regional, national, and European project stakeholders who require constant updates on its progress. The "specialized public" refers to stakeholders who are closely involved in project actions or are able to evaluate their effects in technical and economic terms. In the "public opinion" sector, there are all those people who do not have a direct interest in project results but represent the audience for the planned actions and activities. Finally, "media operators" are strategically important as they can amplify communications directed at them, giving strong resonance to project actions. Given the different interests brought by the four target groups, targeted dissemination activities are planned.
